Magnet Arts are part of Weisser Park's enrichment program, designed for students in grades 1-5. Weisser Park is proud to offer a broad range of arts enrichment opportunities, allowing students to explore and develop their creative skills in various artistic fields. These classes are entirely optional, and students do not receive grades for their participation. The goal is to help students discover their talents and interests in the arts, fostering creativity and self-expression.

For students in grades 1 and 2, a new magnet art class is assigned every quarter, giving them the opportunity to experience different art forms throughout the year. This rotation ensures that younger students have exposure to a variety of artistic techniques and mediums, allowing them to explore different avenues for their creativity.

For students in grades 3-5, the program offers more flexibility. These students can choose from a selection of available arts classes, allowing them to pursue their individual interests and strengths in the arts.

In the case of classes with limited space, students will be selected through a lottery system to ensure fair and equal access to all classes. This system gives all students, regardless of their previous arts experience, an equal chance to participate in their preferred class.
