Encore Arts

• Chimes Choir: Learn to read music and play the hand chimes All levels welcome.
• Honor Choir: An advanced, auditioned, invitation-only ensemble of singers from 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. Students perform more complex music at school concerts and in the community.

• Beat Lab: Write and record songs/beats and create music videos.
•  Girls Rock!  : Open to girls only. Learn how to make music and explore different types of songwriting. Students write and record songs using keyboards, iMacs, and iPads. 

Dance Troupe: An advanced auditioned ensemble taught by FW Dance Collective. Dancers learn techniques and choreography that allow them to express themselves through movement.  Dance routines are performed at school and in the community.

• Accelerated Piano: Invitation-only class. Improve your piano playing skills by exploring music theory, piano technique, and piano literature. 
• Chimes Choir:  We will be learning to read music and to play the hand chimes. Beginning music readers are welcome!
• Honor Choir: An advanced, auditioned, invitation-only ensemble of singers from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Students perform more complex music at school concerts and in the community. 
• Continuing Strings: This is a yearlong performing ensemble by invitation only for students who are interested and willing to take what they have learned to the next level.

• Clayquest: Learn several clay techniques for creating fun colorful vessels. You will learn how to throw a pot on the potter's wheel, slab techniques, and glazing. 
• Cosplay Props: Explore what kinds of props a character might use in cosplay, and then make them for yourself!

• Beat Lab: Write and record songs/beats and create music videos.

• WP News: A student-led news publishing class! Students will write, direct, and film video news and announcements and for the whole school!

• Turn It Up!: Work on rhythm, choreography, body control, and performance skills. Blend old-school moves with new ones to choreograph a dance of our own. *This class meets after school.
